After serious drought conditions and our very first “run in” with the oh so dreaded barber pole worm, our favorite season has arrived. Apparently the conditions for a barber pole worm problem were perfect here this year. Drought followed by heavy rain and wow,- were we caught off guard !! We have heard quite the horror stories about herds being practically wiped out and people just getting out of raising goats altogether because of this terrible parasite. Even tough we had several rather sick goats, the good news is we did not lose anybody and the whole herd is healthy again and doing great in time for breeding season.                                                               Fall is here now and it’s been quite beautiful for some time too. I will post some more pictures soon.
